Anyone used a US National Parks pass

I have noticed people do sell their used America the Beautiful Pass on EBay.
Has anyone used these second-hand passes , and what do you say when the other signatory is not present? Their website says that the passes are non-tranferable and will be void.

Bought and sold these twice so far ;)

You do not have to have the other signatory present-just at least ONE signature which should be backed up by ID.

Some rangers don't even bother to look.

    German Ebay has loads :

Considered buying one last year but missed it. We bought a new one in the end and are probably not going to sell it as they go quite low prices.

Edit: Some National Park locations work on a per person basis and these could theoretically require photo ID of both signatories.

But if you're not going to use it why keep it?

Depending how long is left they go for around 1/2 price.

True......but you never know. And we are intending to reuse it. Happily they are valid for 13 months if timed right.
