BT contracts

BT have renewed a contract for landline and broadband which I wish to cancel. They are not letting me, its been renewed from July by a call to my father, not to me. Do I have any rights under the Consumer Rights Act, is there a cooling off period?

No. But he had no reason to 'renew' as BT phone contracts do not expire.

He will have to have added or requested a change of service and this triggers NOT a new contract, but a new minimum term.

He has the ability under DSR to change his mind, but this is only 7-10 days, and certainly before the new services are provided.
