RBS Platinum or RBS YourPoints ?

I've had my Capital One progress card since November 2011, and in November 2012 I want to get a new credit card since my £200 limit gives me no freedom to use the card.
I was looking at the RBS Platinum card or RBS YourPoints card, but was thinking how hard they would be to get. I meet the 10K eligibility criteria, but I'm unsure if they would accept me in November.
I'll be 20, make just under 20K, never been in debt or had a late payment etc. I would have only had my Capital One credit card for 1 year by then, do you think 1 year of credit use will be enough to get accepted ?

I have Natwest platinum credit card which is same as RBS platinum and I would say credit scoring that particular card or even your points is quite strict. I would say minimum of 2-3 three years of excellent credit history is required to be accepted for RBS cards.
Ps even if you have banking relation with Natwewt/RBS, it won't be taken into account when applying for their credit cards. Natwest would give me an overdraft upto £7500 and loan but decline for the credit card. Ps they always conduct credit search for credit cards but not for overdraft and loans if your asking for an amount within your preapproved limits.
I'd say you have little to no chance unfortunately and if you did manage to get one, your starting limit would be circa £500.0 -
I was accepted for a NatWest Yourpoints mastercard with a limit of £3,600 and only had a student credit card with a nominal limit on before applying. I do have my main account with them which has always been in order. I assumed, until reading James129's post, that this was the main reason why I was accepted?? Maybe not then!0
