thank you guys I really hope it works as i'm beside myself I cant believe I did it! i'm so worried they now have my details and will be using my debit card!

You could cancel your card, although spreading the knowledge about these unenforcable speculaitve invoices, known as parking charge notices to all that you know will help to prevent other people form falling into the same trap.

I'm in the same boat ... I paid the charge although by the time the charge arrived it was passed the "discounted" charge date so I paid the undiscounted £90 becuase it was worrying all the family about the possibility of having thugs banging on the door. Reading the letter again it appears to me that it is little more than demanding money with menaces. The money is not the issue for me, more the fact I feel like I've been mugged. Can I sue them for return of my £90 less a small consideration for their loss of use of one parking slot (say £10) in the small claims court on the basis that they have over charged me for their perceived loss and also they have as I said before demanded money with menaces (threatening further multiple charge rises should I not pay). I would be happy to pay the small claims charge if I thought there was a chance, and even document the case on here blow by blow so people could see the outcome. has anyone else turned the tables on sharking eye. I'm on flexitime so could easily get the time to go to small claims court if it meant they would have to waist their time going too.
