When filling in a bank account application form,
(even though they ask to fill it in black ink) ?
Does it matter too much if you fill it in, in blue ink ?

Shouldn't do, the main reason is for ensuring scanning can be eligible.
It's to deter the people who fill out forms in pink or yellow pens

If your blue pen is bold (rather than thin and scratchy), it should be ok. They only ask for black due to the OCRing.
That said, I don't remember the last time I filled in such a form. Its always been online or at the branch.0
