Usually over watering and/or over feeding. it needs to be potted up in a free draining mix of compost and perlite or similar. This palm is not hardy and is very unlikely to survive the winter outside in the uk.0

If your getting as much rain as I am, you might need to tip the excess water out of the pot and drill more holes. Maybe put a brolly over it!0

My sister complained her pots were waterlogging (not into gardening like me) so I advised her to get little feet under 4 not 3 they fall over !!, So can drain better ,all o.k. now, Your palm will need winter protection .Do I need it or just want it.0
