Computer Crashing

When I download a property schedule from the internet the schedule requires adobe acrobat to open the pdf file. The pictures of the house are visible but as I scroll down to look at other pictures the computer always crashes.
Anyone got any idea what might be causing this problem.
Is it to do with my Graphics card which is a N Videa 32 mb which is just not up to the job. I run windows XP with 512 mb ram and an athalon 1800 processor.
