Hull - Zeebrugge Booze Cruise

I am thinking about going on the Hull - Zeebrugge ferry with the aim of picking up some cheap Belgium beer.

Does anyone have any tips for where a near-by hypermarket is to Zeebrugge?

We always nip over the border & use the supermarkets in France

For whatever reason Belgium dosen't seem to be over run with large supermarkets, I can only recall ever seeing Carrefour [which I think are French anyway] most of the time it's just smallish places like Spar etc.

Likewise we always find France much cheaper.
We nearly always go to Auchan in Ronq which is less than an hour's drive from zeebrugge and is the nearest big one we have found.We have been many many times .

We always use the big Auchan just off the A16 at Dunkerque & have a great lunch at one of the many wonderful sea-food restaraunts nearby before driving back to Zeebrugge [again, about an hour] for the return sailing.

You can't really go wrong with any of the French hypermarkets.
