Hi when using 'Microsoft Works', I lost 3 pages of text, I was working on. I was transferring some text from various sites at the time. So was aware that certain text may cause a problem. Once before when this happened, the work came back when shutting down & restarting 'Works', but on the last occassion it was lost, luckily I had printed copies. I did want to save on HD as well though, is there any way of retrieving these lost pages? Is there any programs that may help?
Appreciate any help
Thx

scan them in using a scanner / all in one printer.
and then re edit using works.0 -
Scanning and OCR are probably fastest to be honest. OCR is maybe 95% accurate on a good page, so then go through and copy edit to be sure.0

Set a restore point then install any of these, try as many as you need until you find the one you get on with, then you can uninstall the others or use the restore point if there is a problem uninstalling any

I have also used online OCR before - on my phone now but try searching for 'online OCR free' and see what you find - you upload the pictures then download the text!0
