Sending complaint to the FOS

Hello all,

About to send my Barclaycard rejection to the FOS. Just to be sure, I need to send the FOS complaint form, the pink consumer questionnaire, do I need to send them anything else, like copies of the agreement and T&C's or statements etc? As i have my full set of SAR info here, or will they request that themselves from Barclaycard?

Do i need to send it signed for as proof of delivery like the original complaint?

Many thanks,

Emma.

Ideally, copies of your evidence to support your allegations. It will save them asking you for them if you supply them in advance. They dont need the agreements. No-one does. That is just an internet myth.

    Up to you.

For others reading, best to send it via email using the address on the Financial Ombudsman form.
You get an auto-response receipt if they received your email. Within 2 weeks, you will receive a letter from the Financial Ombudsman with your case number on it.

Just a small update - 14 months later, just got a letter from the FoS back saying that my complaint was upheld and Goldfish (Barclaycard now) will be in touch and let me know how much they owe me :D

    Cannot wait for that letter!
  • We'll blow me, that was worth the wait! They're paying me £20k :j

Staggering amount of a refund there. Cannot imagine how you feel about that other than being very happy.

  • Still in shock tbh I thought I'd get about 8k at most!
  • Hi

    Well done... 20k that's amazing:j
Quick question, how long had you had the card for and what kind of balance did you have on it ?..... I've just had a complaint upheld by the FOS for Lloyds relating to a credit card PPI from 2001 until early this year. Trying to work out what I'm likely to receive!
  • My balance was at 8k with interest rates continually going up and ppi too. Had the card a fair few years too. £8k is the ppi, 11k interest charged on the premium and just under £2k simple interest.

I believe I have to pay tax on the £11k?

No, you have to pay tax on the £2k. You should check with the bank whether or not they have deducted it at source. Some do, some don't.
