OT But was wondering if anyone can help? I recently bought a new iPad (3) I run our schools PTA. To save costs I thought about hosting our newsletters online. But I don't seem to be able to do this (I no longer have a pc) the one time I did manage to upload no one could view it. I've tried emailing it via word but it doesn't send the document properly.
My old xp laptop seemed to do this easily......
    Things I've tried-
Uploading to Skydrive (App only allows photo uploads)
    Dropbox (again photos only)
Iuploader (This did allow me to upload to dropbox but the file couldn't open for committee members)
Surely there must be a way of hosting pages docs online? I understand the iPad syncs to iCloud but you cannot check this from the iPad therefore I'm unable to supply a link. iCloud is filtered on my shared user area of the schools network.
    Any help really appreciated!

Did you try preparing newsletter in Word and converting to .pdf? Usually you can do this using Word through 'Save as' or 'Print' (virtual pdf printer should be listed in a drop down menu). Then you can e-mail the pdf out or distribute it via dropbox.

Can you see the 'normal' 32GB one? I can only see the 3G + wi-fi for £379?

  • i have been looking for an ipad 2 16gb wifi only now for 2 weeks on the apple refurb site, checking very regularly ( perk of working at a desk all day) plus checking before and after work and nothing came up, I also rang them 5 times in total every other time apart from today i got told they will be back in sometime soon keep checking and be added to the waiting list! i have never been called... rang them again today as now getting rather frustrated to be told that actually they are now out of stock and it will be only one or two that come up so "don’t hold your breath" he recommended either going for a new ipad 2 or a 3 or if i still wanted a refurb on cost grounds then look at ebay amazon... which i did and in the end bought one of these

I'm so disappointed to read this and so annoyed at myself as I saw this when it was in stock but was worried about the cost.

Has anybody e mailed to be put on a waiting list and if so did you get a reply?

There is no way I can afford anymore, I was squeezing it at the refurb price

I'm so silly I just thought that they would be available in a month or so.

That's a shame if they are running out, I'll try and find out about stock from the sales person I dealt with, staff in the Apple stores say they get long spells without any. They also said iPad 3 refurbs not too far away.
If I'd not of got my refurb off apple I was going to go to John Lewis for iPad 2 as £329 there but you get 2 year warranty - if you buy apple care in 2nd year it's £69. I've always found customer service at John Lewis great plus I can now order from jonh lewis by 7pm and collect from my local Waitrose after 2pm next day!
Fingers crossed they get more in.

I got the 32gb for £319... I checked the site daily also but struck lucky at about 2.30am one very late night/ early morning.

I'm delighted with mine and I'm pleased I went for the bigger option of the 32gb. It truly is fantastic and I'm learning new stuff every day with it.

I do plan to go for the free classes at Apple store soon to enhance my knowledge. I think you book them through the Apple website too.

I do reckon it's a question of luck and patience, good luck all hunting them down.:)
