If I ring about a quote will I lose my on line discount?

Varies by insurers.
Dont know any that wont give you the online discount if you actually complete the buying process online even if you make a query in the middle of the process.
Some queries wont allow you to progress online and so some will give you the discount still some wont. Likewise if you have a query but can still complete online but the agent offers to complete over the phone then they can chose to give you the discount or not but if you ask them they'll tell you.0
