cat with strange taste in food...

Options
Sunday we had roast chicken for tea, left it on the side whilst we ate, he went nowhere near it.

Yesterday DH went to the chippy, got mushy peas. half went on his plate, half left in the tub and given to the cat. who ate them all and licked the pot clean.

oh but he loves his chicken flavoured perscription food.

the suspicion is growing that i have a very special cat indeed...

Our mog loves carrot and coriander soup and curry... Loves the usual suspects such as fish but could take or leave chicken! I think it's the strong flavours she prefers.

My cat loves curry too, the hotter the better. If you're eating a chicken tikka wrap, she's in your face until you give her some. Doesn't really like fish or chicken, but loves tuna and prawns. The same with cheese n onion hoola hoop crisps. Goes mental for them.

Orbit used to love a nice Lamb Balti or Chicken Tikka,he also liked rice pudding, baked beans & chili.Although his litter tray was bad the next day & He also like the odd whisky & guiness.

Daisy on the other hand is a fussy eater although she does like cheese, the stronger the better...

One of our new cars will eat anything she can get her paws on! She ate some leftover chili last night but will try anything that is left lying around. The RSPCA told us she was a fussy eater

Mine jumped on the counter yesterday, very unusual for him... and walked straight past the open posh cat food to the mature cheddar :rotfl:

one of ours will try everything in her arsenal to get a piece of anything with vanilla in it....the other one turns his nose up at vanilla but will choose peas ad green beans in preference to meat left on a plate.....

Ours loves curry and poppadums. Also, will go mad for fruit yogurt and shares a strawberry actimel with little one each morning.
Hubby had a choc ice last night and snowy wanted some.... he's not fussy at all.
A cat we used to have loved melon, raw liver and poppadums.

Slightly off topic, if we were packing to go away anywhere, as soon as the suitcase came out he would be in there... trying to move him was fun...

my Giz is quite boring, he likes a bit of ham, and a tiny bit of cheese, but nothing else - including fish and chicken!

My old cat used to love crisps, cheese, tuna, ham, blueberry muffins, peanut butter on toast, marmite and ice cream amongst lots of other things!

I've occasionally picked up those pouches that have peas in the cat food. Jerry Cat manages to spit out the peas but eat the rest lol.

He's never grabbed at food off our plates (on trays) except the one time my hubby was eating a kebab. Jerry just helped himself by hooking some off and running off with it. Partial to a bit of chicken tikka too.

  • Our male loves bacon and will try and swipe it out of any sandwich you're holding. He's also likes naan bread, tikka chicken, chips and hula hoops. His ultimate favourite are pork scratchings. If you try to hold the bag away from him he'll try and climb up your arm, which is no fun as he weighs 7kgs.

One time he tried to steal a piece of chicken from someone's meal. He didn't just whip of the plate. He slowly extended his paw out, then gently place it on the chicken and then looked around to see if we were watching. When he realised we were he just lay down, paw still on the chicken:rotfl:
