It's just been announced that Eric Sykes has died.
He's been making me and many I know laugh all our lives - although, sadly, we have seen less of him of late.
One of the great performers who has entertained several generations.

I loved him as a kid in the 70's - I didn't really realise he was still with us! Off to find some of his clips on youtube now, this is doubly sad that he has died, and that he didn't carry on creating for so many years.0

Yes I thought he was already dead. I think I was getting him mixed up with Norman Wisdom. Another great comedian has gone. I think only Russ Abbot is left now
