Booking Air Flights

I want to book air flights to Australia. Am I covered using debit card if Airline goes broke? Or better to use a credit card-though I know this incurs charges. Does your travel insurance cover you as well?

You only get the DB protection if you buy directly with the airline, third parties like travel agents are excluded.
Better to buy tickets thro' an ATOL agent then you will be covered no matter how you pay.0
