i have a saga car insurance policy and wondered if i could put my daughter on as a named driver just for 1 day.?
Also if that isn't possibe would her insurer insure her to drive my car for one day?
hope that made sense and thanks for taking the time to read

Your insurer should be able to do it, although they may have some fixed amendement fees, which may not work out cheap for 1 day.
I doubt her insurer would do it on her policy. Policies are generally for cars not people.
The alternative is temp insurance like https://www.dayinsure.com
This is not a recommendation just a URL that I remember.0 -
Both will normally allow it, it is called a Temporary Additional Driver (TAD) or a Temporary Additional Vehicle (TAV) but as Lisyloo says in addition to the premium you may well have to pay an administration fee for doing it (can be up to £50)
If she has her own comprehensive insurance she MAY have Driving Other Cars (DOC) cover which would mean she can drive your car under her policy automatically without having to add it as a TAV but would only have TPO cover (ie no cover for damage to your car but cover for third party losses and legal)0
