Oh I disagree, Ed Balls is a despicable character with no scruples or shame whatsoever.

How utterly rich of him to talk about playing party politics when he is THE worst offender.

    Listen.
This thread is about Bob Diamond's appearance before the select committee. Not a single time, Mr. Balls was mentioned.
So could you please keep your party political broadcasts for yourself or the Discussion Time forum.
    Thanks.

Osborne seems quite poor at it I agree.

Well Wookster and Graham must be massively disappointed! They were drooling for Ball's blood but ended up seeing their hero Gideon putting his foot in his mouth yet again. Even Cameron had the sense to back off supporting what that idiot of a chancellor came out with. No wonder the recovery has been well and truly killed off! Oh and Osbourne's voice sounds like Mr Bean too.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the "Whitehall" person that Paul Tucker referred to (and who it is agreed did not try to fiddle Libor) was Sir Jeremy Heywood. He is now Cabinet Secretary.

Whoops - another powerful person Georgie may have annoyed.

    Listening to the early stages:-

Tiery suggests Mr Tucker is being economic with truth - no surprise there then

In fact Tucker sounds as evasive as Diamond.

To all those having a go at George, yes he is a bit naff but he speaks more economic sense than Ed Balls.

That's not exactly much of a recommendation now, is it? Next door's cat speaks more economic sense than Ed Balls.:)

Osborne's record speaks for itself. Deficit reduction behind schedule, double-dip recession and nearly 3 million unemployed. I could go on.

Perhaps you should learn some economics yourself before judging the merit of what Osborne is saying.

Because bluntly you have been proven wrong over the last couple of years.
