HBOS Query: First Direct Hopeless!

Hi,
Any advice gratefully received here!
I recently switched from BOS to First Direct to get the free money. I asked FD to switch only some dds and made a very clear list of what they should and shouldn't switch. I wanted to leave all household stuff in the BOS account and the FD to be my personal account.
Of course it didn't go to plan; FD switched the wrong list. They apologised, tried to rectfiy, couldn't so I had to do it myself and they credited me a tenner for calls.
None of my payments were missed as ,ost of my dds came off on the 1st of the month and I was on the ball with this. However, by 29th June, my dds were not showing on my BOS account, despite having letters from most and calling to double check that they were in place. Particularly, our mortgage, due to debit on Monday, 2nd July, and hasn't. I have spoken to them twice before (Mortgage with Halifax also) and they assured me it was set up. So, now I have no idea what's going on - but how hopeless can they be? Why will they not show up on my account? And if they attempt to charge me, I do have a comeback, don't i?
This is why I didn't switch before - fear of mucking up and the whole thing becoming a big deal !

This is why I always move DDs that I don't want switched to a different account and make sure they are set up before initiating a switch.0

Who messed things up again?0 -
Lol, opinions 4u - point taken! it was FD who were initially hopeless. I'm just worried about my mortgage payment not coming off; it's our first mortgage, and I don't like anything to go wrong.At July 2012: MBNA: 2678 (0%);Santander Car Loan: 4496.84 ;[STRIKE]Barclaycard: 810.00 (0%);[/STRIKE]Next: 450.00 (0% within 28 days); BOS CC: 850.00 (0%);

Reading that, I was wondering when we'd get to the point when HBOS had made a mistake ... it never came!
Many banks don't show up DDs until the first time they come out of your account. If the companies involved have confirmed that they'll come from your BOS account then you should be ok.
