Affordable Ford Parts?

Hi all,

I need to buy some things for my Ford Focus (2007 LX model). Firstly, wheel trims. I need just one as it fell off ages ago and I never replaced! I think something like this but I must check the size (in fact, how do I check what size I need?):

Is there a more affordable alternative in general?

Also.. I don't know if somebody has knicked it or if it's fallen off, but I've lost the little badge at the front of the car. When flicked up it reveals the key slot to get under the car bonnet. Is this a common thing? I hope I'm not going to go ahead and buy one of these things only to find out there is something else wrong (e.g. something that was meant to hold it in place is ruined). Must check - there's a guy at work who is good with these things. In the meantime.. is that thing just called a 'badge'? Or flip badge? Does anybody have a link to a potential replacement? I can't seem to find any online.

Thanks in advance (I am not a motorhead!).

  • first off, check with local ford for price of a set of trims or individuls.

the size of the rim is in they tyre wall something like 205 55 R15 the R15 stands for 15 inch if your ends with a different number thats the size of the wheel usually.

I think you should go to your local scrapyard... both those items are common as muck and will cost you very little in a scrappers.

    Guys - thanks! R15 - that's mine! Appreciated.
I will check the scrappers first and foremost, then..! :)

Guy at work recommends I go straight to the local Ford garage. I guess that'll be of some help. In the meantime, does anybody know how the flip badge is fitted? Is it a pop in job? I'm pretty sure the trims area pop-on job!

    Thanks again!

You could consider getting some alloy wheels from the local scrapyard if your tyres are close to being replaced anyway. Then you could put new tyres onto your new alloys and make the car a bit smarter.

    Just a thought.

Remember to tell your insurance company if you do this, your insurance rate may go up and you may find it more difficult to get a quote.

Best option is to have a search on the Internet or ebay for a breakers and just get a second hand replacement.
