Paper?? I thought we were in the paperless age?

Do it online a week before its due. No queuing at the post office then.

What real difference does it make if it is printed off on your home printer or the insurance companies printer? The signature is printed and not done by hand in both cases and you can buy heavy weight paper if you want for your printer anyway.

These days the systems just check the MID to ensure you have insurance in place. The certificate itself is just a convenient piece of paper with the name of the insurer and policy number should there be a problem with MID so you can contact the insurer in question and confirm cover. A scrap of paper with the same written on it would do just as well.

As others have said, do it on line, takes 5 minutes and don't even need to find the certificate let alone bother printing it

Good job I didn't go with Admiral then as I don't have a printer. Admiral was the lowest quote £470 and the multicarquote was even lower £380 (with Admiral), but then LV saved me another £100.

Mind you not a standard LV quote, a standard LV quote online was £800.
I got it from them over the phone for £280 :D

Plenty of people don't have printers at home now days, just a lap top or maybe a pc.

Hopefully they make it clear that you need a printer before you buy
