sky having a moan

hi sorry if this in the wrong place

a few weeks ago i emailed sky to ask the if it was possible to have sky even though i dont have credit cards or debit cards , they told me this was possible i would have to pay over the counter with a charge of 4.00 extra and i would have to pay six months in advance ....

so a few days ago i phoned sky to get this installed and guess what i was told i could not do this as they need a credit card or debit card lol

why are they companies discriminating against us who dont have credit or debit cards

I agree. Can't you set it up and pay it to somebody else. I'm sure nobody would mind taking your cash and paying on their card (FRiends or family of course)

Some people dont have credit/debit cards as its virtually impossible to get a bank account if you dont have the relevant I.D. For years I didnt have either, My wages had to be paid in to my OH a/c just so I could get paid.

I ended up getting the water put into my name just so I could produce a bill that stated my address. At one time I even worked for the Natwest Bank, in the Main building dealing with Mortgage payments and Title Deeds. Even with that evidence, I still could not get an a/c with them.

The Majority of folk out of work, whom cannot afford a driving licence/passport and dont have a birth certificate, have virtually NO CHANCE of gaining a bank account.
