The end of cold calls!!!!!

Having been blitzed lately with the foriegn cold call pests I decided instead of snapping back and asking them not to call, politly of course, I would string them along. A waste of time you may say, why waste your time, well, a week down the line, the calls stopped. I became quite adept at time wasting, each day the calls got longer, `What sort of computer do you have? a Colosus said I that was good for 5 minutes. trying to switch it on is good for another 5 looking for your glasses, putting a shilling in the meter, each one opens up new avenues. I was getting up to 20 minutes befor some irate third party told the caller to hang up. Try it its gets to be fun and seems to work.

Well done but your a long way down the list for this action. The record I last heard was over 70 minutes of pure waffle. It wont stop them but while you using their time someone else may not be troubled :-) Keep up the good work.

Then the next firm who has bought your number will start calling - there isn't a single source to these calls (if only!).

the best one i do is put the birdie song or some bad tune to repeat play on my pc,put the phone near the speakers,then say i must put you on hold someone at the door.then forget about them for 10 mins.

Meanwhile you are blocking you line from receiving calls - as retribution goes, this is just shooting yourself ifn the foot. If they put your call on hold (to teach you a lesson) the line will remain blocked.
