Lloyds TSB PPI Claim on C/C

Hi there
I received a letter from Lloyds telling me the breakdown of my PPI payments and if I would like to cancel. I rang up and they cancel my PPI payments instantly and asked me if I would like to claim back my past PPI so I obviously said yes as I was not aware I was making these payments and that i did not need them. They gave me another number to call which I did put my complaint in about misellling etc and they said they would follow it up. I received 2 ? letters yesterday saying this is the reason blah blah and that confirming they were looking into the matter. I realised today that I had a 20k loan from Lloyds back in 2001 and paid off in 2006 for home improvements and I am not sure if I paid PPI on this loan as I no longer have the paperwork. Will I need to ring up and ask them to look into this for me or will it be something that they will do anyway as they are looking into my account for the C/C details?
I dont want to make to much of a deal because I am sure that if it was explained to me I would have said I didnt need the cover so I dont think I did pay but is it worth asking them to look into it rather than say I paid it when I didn't and making a twonk of myself?

Give them a ring and see if they can find this loan, if they cannot then ask for all info they hold on you, this is a DSAR and ask them what the charge for this is, it should be £10, this will give you a copy of the agreement, when you get this (unless they find the loan when you ring) post up how the PPI was interest on the agreement and we will help you from there.I realised today that I had a 20k loan from Lloyds back in 2001 and paid off in 2006 for home improvements and I am not sure if I paid PPI on this loan as I no longer have the paperwork.0 -
Did not need to. Rang the Lloyds TSB claim line and explained and the nice young guy said lets fill in all the details whilst your on the phone and in about 5 days you will either get a letter saying sorrry, no PPI was paid or one to say that they would be looking into my claim. How helpful was that all they needed was my account number and sort code just to verify the loan had taken place !!!!0
