Car insurance - Is the school run classed as commuting?

Hi!

Looking at quotes for car insurance renewal Is the school run classed as commuting? I don't work or study at the school.

    I would say commuting is only when travelling to and from a place of work.

    I would say the school run is covered under social, domestic.

    Would you need to check with your specific insurer to confirm how they view this under your policy.

    Unless you are the teacher then the school run would probably be classed as domestic.
