Insurance for two cars

You're gonna think I'm mad but just hear me out!
I already have a car, incidentally the insurance is up for renewal next month - I've just had a look at prices and I'm looking at about £250 for the year which is excellent!
Anyways - I LOVE mini's and I've spotted one today which is a complete bargain (I think!), however, it needs work doing to it - it's not driveable at the moment and needs towing. As this work will take a while to complete, I'd be wanting to keep my current car until the work is complete. Can I get insurance to insure me on both cars? Will this cost a lot?
