I was just wondering where the best seats are. Is it worth upgrading to the lower tier, or is the upper tier ok? Also, I have heard thing are very expensive, does naybody have an idea on prices once we get there? Many thanks!!

I can't help you with the venue, but yes, Disney On Ice merchandise is ridiculously overpriced. Prepare in advance, bring your own snacks, and pop into the Disney Store or even Asda/Tesco before you go to give a treat toy to your child instead of buying a plastic bit of tat at DOI for upwards of a tenner.
Usually outside the venue before you go in there will be little stalls with folk selling various bits of light-up stuff (ears, twirly torches flashing wands etc), so buy your little one something from there for a couple of pounds before you go in.0 -
THanks, will make sure we are well stocked. MAybe we should spend a bit more on the tickets, dont want to be right at the back!0

Be warned, they search bags at MEN and don't let you take your own food and drink in. I once bought a bottle of water at the McDonald's in the arena concourse and still couldn't take it in, then I would have to pay around 2 quid for a bottle in there. Seat wise the first tier on a side is good. Floor level you don't always see the whole show, upper tier feels quite distant.0

Food and drink is very expensive at the MEN. i would make sure you get plenty to eat before you go. As above the MEN are very strict with bag searches, i have had mine searched every single time i have been. i would stuff a bag of sweets in a coat pocket but woudnt risk much else if you cant afford to have it taken off you.
when we went we were sat lower tier on the side, about row j or k and they were really good seats. i wouldnt have liked to have been on the upper tier.0 -
They didn't search my daughters little bag last time as she had sweeties and a drink in there for the show. The Disney Store in the Arndale Centre is worth going to before the show. Also worth noting, the kids all dress up as Disney characters to go to the show.0

BRilliant thank you, great tips. I will book the lower tier and just pay the prices I think, it is a one off after all. Might take her to the Disney store rather than the overpriced merchandise though, that is a great idea, and she loves it in there!0
