Credit Card Start & End Dates

Hi,

I'd like to find out when i took out and also when i closed my old Egg and Barclaycard Credit Cards... I signed up for a free credit report but it doesn't appear to go back that far (2000-2003). Do you know how best to retrieve this info?

I'd want them both to confirm whether i paid PPI, so i'd like to go in fully armed with dates etc.

Thanks in advance
E.G.

Do a Subject Access Request under the DPA for £10 with the card companies.

Be aware that if you terminated your accounts more than 6 years ago they may no longer hold the data

Now presumably you are going to claim that if you did have PPI that you were miss sold it. If you cannot even remember if you had it or not how can you claim to remember the sales process and that you were miss sold it?

Surely you know what products you purchased?

If you can't remember agreeing to purchase it presumably you can't remember the sales process either and therefore can not claim it was miss-sold.

There will be no records longer than 6 years, certainly not detailed or itemised - so if you've not kept details, the chances of getting this from a SAR may disappoint.
