My daughter has aspergers, she is 17 years old, after years of work she is finally prepared to attend college, the cost of transport is £600 a year plus the course materials another £400, does anyone know if there is something I can claim to assist with paying for this?
Thank you

Check to see if she can get student disability allowance, unsure if that's available to college students or just UNI students
Best thing to do is go see the college welfare team, finance team or student disability support :-)I love War Of The Worlds:heart2:

contact your local council special needs department - they may be able to help with transport.
Is she claiming DLA for her? We were awarded middle rate care and low level mobility. My son can't do public transport , but the money we got goes towards running a little car for him, which helps him in so many ways and reduces his considerable anxiety levels.0
