I didn't buy it !

Hi ,I got a e mail saying it was a reciept for a dell lap top I haven't bought for £380.00
the e mail had used my name though!
If I didn't order it just log into my pay pal account
Figured it was a scam and have sent details to paypal (through the e bay site)
just wanted to know if this is the right thing to do and how do these people get my e mail

Did you click on any links? If so you might want to run virus scans on your computer... and use a different PC to change your ebay and paypal passwords!

  • I got an Email yesterday which said

Hello, I already sent you the money via paypal. What happened ? Please let me know.
    Have a nice day.

I Have only ever made one purchase, last year, so knew it wasn't me.

Sent it to Ebay's security thingy who informed me that this was from a registered Ebay user!!!!

Looked him/her up and they are american.

None the wiser so I have ignored it.

You should never click those links as anything you do after that will have your details recorded for someone else to use. Always access Paypal via the website direct, people should know this.
