You owe them the money and they have 6 years to follow up for payment. Why on earth do you think you should get away with taking their goods and denying them payment ?

I made an online order to karen millen just after Christmas 6 months ago, which due to some technical glitch, karen millen didn't charge me for.
I just received an email this morning saying they will charge my card for it within 3 days.
Is it valid for them to charge me, given it has been 6 months and due to their own error?

    Yes it is.

    "What can I do?"

Make sure there are sufficient funds in your bank

You could also ask for more time to pay or request to pay by instalments.

But as others have said, they do have up to 6 years to chase you for payment.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

When you realised you hadn't been charged, what did you do?

Left it to earn interest perhaps

More likely spent it thinking they'd got something for nothing.

Wouldn't the creditor be entitled to some interest as well?

pay it and move on OP. Money is owed, and you have had the benefit of it for months.

Not if they have made no attempt to collect the money as it is purely their own fault.

If the debtor starts refusing to pay etc then interest would be chargeable if it went to court
