What if I can't get tuition fee?

Hi,
I am 23 and currently being assessed for independent student status for tuition fee. I did Open Uni and received a little funding a few years ago as a part time course. Student Finance sent me through my calculations giving me my maintenance grant but said 0 to tuition fee. I then received letters saying to confirm my income etc to be assessed as independent. I now have to wait upto 4 weeks and im worried that I wont get a tuition loan. How would I have to pay for my course if i cant get it? Is it in a lump sum at the beginning of the year or what? I dont think I can go to uni if I dont get the loan.

How many points did your OU study amount to?0

As above, what did your OU study count as? If it's a decent level of qualification your study now will be considered a second degree/course and you may not be able to get funding.Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
