insurance say they've over paid me !!!!!!

hi new to this forum but thought i'd give it a try.
Can anybody help was involved in an accident two years ago where a wheel came off a car and came bouncing down the road like a ball an landed on my bonnet.Was paid up in full for damage last june but have now recieved a letter yesterday from insurance company asking for £200 back as they said they over paid me at the time .Can the insurers do this ?????

    Yes - if they made a mistake and paid you the wrong amount.

    Ask them what the £200 is for, and take it from their reply.

    If they issued full and final settlement NO.
    If they claim it was an interim, say oh good, right about the uninsured losses, increased premiums etc...

    A bit more info needed.

    Was there an invoice for repairs and they simply paid you too much?
