payday loans on credit report help, multiple entries!
Hi All,
I'm applying shortly for a personal loan and if it weren't for having a history of using PDL's I'd be confident about getting approved. However, I've checked my report on Experian and it's much worse than I thought companies have reported my payday loan as settled as much as 3 times! I know this because the dates are exactly the same on 3 different entries. What do I do it makes it look like i've used them even more than I have.
I know PDL's claim a settled loan with them looks good but I know that it actually gets an otherwise great applicant rejected.
What can I do how do I get multiple entries removed quickly. If underwriters do manual checks of reports but don't realise they are double entries it will look like I've had 10 more PDL's than I have had. Even if I remove these I might still get rejected but still...
I feel like the only reason companies like Wonga report that you paid them is to make sure no one else offers you a loan and you're forced to stay with PDL companies. The way they act like its good for your credit disgusts me.

You can out a notice of correction/ explanation on your file to clarify this, might help but might not.0

Well I wish you luck, but I notice a previous post says you have £4500 in PDL, that would suggest you have no chance of getting a loan.
You have been robbing peter to pay paul for months now, of course it's not going to look good to a lender, if you can't last a month.
I would daresay your credit files, report extremely accurately your financial situation.
Your posts in general seem to suggest you are a panicing, headless chicken. You really need to stop, breathe and think of the situation you are in. Go over to the debt free wanabee board and post up your situation.
Even if you do get accepted, go over to the debt free wanabee board and start getting yourself sorting, by learning to budget, cut down spending and raise income. Loads of people with great advice over on the DFW boards.0 -
Personal loan match (scam)
Hi had a call from These people after applying for a payday loan.
I recently found out about this company (Asian speaking with very poor English) So I thought I would really see what info they had, it seems everything about me except the debit card details.
I was really special they offered me a £5 discount off my £20 processing fee. The guy I spoke to gave up and put his so called manager on in a bid to milk me, but I knew and stretched it out as long as I could, until I got bored.
This company is very dangerous they guarantee your loan with verifying anything and ask for a processing fee of.£20 but once they have those details they can continue to extract money from your bank and as you gave out the details and cannot trace the company or provide supporting information you lose the banks won't refund you.
If only someone in parliament would bring in a law to stop these scammers0 -
The data on your credit report should correctly reflect how many loans you have had. If it doesn't, you need to either take it up with the PDL provider or ask the CRA to do it for you.
While some mainstream lenders might see promptly repaid PDLs as positive, others might not, so you definitely want to make sure your credit history is accurate in this respect.

I know this isn't relevant to this thread but I've got 2 calls a day from this company for the past week. It's an automated call and apparently gives me the option to press 2 to unsubscribe. I have done this but to no avail. I'm not sure what to do. We've recently had to change numbers after 3 years of nuisance calls for the previous holder of our old number including lots of calls from debt collection agencies. We've only had this number for a month and I've already had to deal with calls from numerous debt collection agencies for the precious holder of our new number as well and now these people won't stop calling. We have no need of a personal loan and I'm guessing they've got our number due to the previous holder having a bad credit rating. We've registered ourselves on the no call list but the calls keep coming. Who can I complain to make them stop calling?0 -
Look up the harrasment letter on this board....then tell them you will report them if they phone back...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0
