  • I called my local RBS branch when my wages didnt appear in my account and was told 'just wait'... now I find that they have taken my loan payment twice so I called and was told 'just wait'.... so technically I didnt get paid and they got paid twice and all they can tell me is I have to wait... Im disgusted!!!
  • RBS have taken out one loan payment on the 2 July and another today 3 July and on my online statement the two payments have been taken.

Surely this is RBS in breach of their contract and the whole debacle, of which our business was affected from 21 June, is negligence.

On speaking to the Bank today I was told it was another technical hitch and they had "no idea when the money would be going back to my account". I asked to speak to their legal department and wasn't put through. I also said that as it was RBS taking the money from my RBS account they should correct my account today manually - I was told that they could not do this as the technical team would "fix" all the problems together!

They were quick to take their charges from our account before crediting the 6 days of credit card payments our clients had paid to us from the 18 June!

I know I can claim interest by going through long and complicated form filling but this isn't the point - it is the loss of trust, the enormous amount of time I have had to spend on this - and as a small business struggling in this economic climate - time that could be spent with my customers! It is also the insulting and arrogrant way that RBS took their interest before paying in my customers credit card payments, which I was told they did not know where they were in their bank!

It is not good enough to be told that the account will go back to a state as if nothing had happened. They cannot pay for stress, time and potential lost customers because I am dealing with this!
  • Has anyone explained exactly why they have these problems and why they are taking so long to get sorted out? Are the systems compromised? Has someone hacked them?
