Of course, I would arrange for a specific timed collection, but they won't answer the emails. On te phone they said they wished to send it back via DHL at their lesuire, which I agreed to reimburse.

They won't give any other info except it was sent by royal mail. They also now want me to send them the other item before I receive theirs back...which I have declined but said I will make a goodwill gesture to cover the late arrival of the item and also any postage etc.

Just wait for it to come back, if they really did send it they'll certainly be in touch soon enough at which point just keep it simple and ask for proof of sending.

If they don't get in touch send them a letter by Recorded Delivery.

Call the buyer again. Emails are far easier to ignore than phone calls.

Be as friendly & helpful as possible, as you want them to be onside.

I'm a little hesitant, as when I called them, they lied through their teeth to me, saying it hadn't arrived yet (it had), that they didn't know what I'd sent (but mysteriously knew the model of the wrong one I'd sent) and said they were working away for three days so couldn't check the parcel (He was on his home landline!)

    Grrrrrr!

Ask for the tracking, if they sell they should know that an item of that amount would need to be posted tracked.
