Halifax Credit Card Ppeals

Hi All,
Have just spoken to HSBC and was told that they do not have appeals process for Credit Card rejection. Well, they have just lost a client.
I know Halifax has the appeals process, and they says that I would have to go to my branch. Does anybody know if there is and appeals department for Halifax, where I can send the appeals letter?
Thanks,

Appeal against what? The fact they have rejected an application from you for a CC ??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Yes, against rejection of my Credit Card application.0

They clearly didn't want you anyway, which is why they rejected you.Have just spoken to HSBC and was told that they do not have appeals process for Credit Card rejection. Well, they have just lost a client.
You have to visit your branch with supporting documentation. They might still reject you however and it will mean another 'hit' on your credit report.I know Halifax has the appeals process, and they says that I would have to go to my branch. You can send in a SAR with £10, and request details of why you were rejected, and further details of what negative markers were placed on your account as a result.
I did this, and it turned out they have 'lost' my application (which every person involved in it thinks should not have been rejected) and are currently working frantically to clear all the negative stuff they stuck on my account as a result of the error.
Do not let this go, particularly if you bank with them. A rejection from your own lender is damaging. Unless you were a bad credit risk, in which case, duck and cover! If you think you were a decent applicant without significant outstanding debt elesewhere and a reasonable income, then go for the SAR.Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I have been banking with them for 5 years, my salary is paid to that bank, all my direct debits and standing orders are on the account. Yes, believe me, they have lost me. I have already transferred a few DD to my Halifax account. If HSBC does not appreciate loyalty, I do not need them as my bank.0 -
