Grain-free cat food

Hello All,

I've been using PORTA 21 Sensible dry food for my cats which is grain-free. I've finished the bag and have looked online. Zooplus are selling 2 x 10kg bags for £49.90 making it £2.50 per kg.

I was wondering if any of you fine people could recommend any other grain-free dry foods that I might have missed that are cheaper or have any links to discounts for Zooplus to reduce the overall price?

I have looked on Quidco and can get 5% off and an extra 5% discount if I spend over £75 so might have to stretch to buying 4 bags, but don't know where I'd put it all!

Thanking you in advance

Chooch

Not sure if this code still works but it was offering £5 off with spend of £30 or more.
Taste of the Wild is grain free too, Acana and Orijen of course but think they are more expensive.

Orijen is more expensive per kg, but apparently the amount you need to feed your cat is less than other foods (50g per day as opposed to as much as 200g per day) so it actually works out at less than 25p per day if you're buying the big bags.

Depending on how many cats you have / how long a 10kg bag lasts, this might not be the best idea - if they last for ages (a 10kg bag of Royal Canin lasts mine 5 months!) as the BBF date on the bags may be reached before you can use it all.

TBH £2.50 / kg is a really good price for grain free - with free delivery, 5% cashback (and an extra £5 if the code Paddypaws has quoted still works), that's a pretty good deal - if it would take you ages to need to use the extra 2 x 10kg bags, then it's probably not worth the extra money paid out just now IYSWIM

Yup - but it's a min of 2 time the price (and up to over 3 times the price) of what the OP is currently feeding .... and they're looking to reduce costs (sorry).

Thanks for the advice everyone - It will take me ages to get through 4 bags as I only have two cats.

I thought Porta was a good price, but no harm in checking to see if there are any better prices out there.
