    First of all you need to get on the electoral role!If you are not on this then you will NOT GET CREDIT FROM ANYWARE!

    Not at all true, my wife got a santander card before she was on the electoral role. It certainly can help but wont prohibit you.

    I believe we are now in or just about to get into the closed period for the role (having just received my form) and so if you do want to add yourself on now it wont appear for several months (think its around November)
