Co-op?
Provided your happy to contribute to the Labour party that is.
Not entirely accurate - the Co-Operative Group contributes to The Co-Operative Party, which is affiliated to The Labour Party but is not actually The Labour Party. They mainly fund specially chosen Labour candidates who have shown a commitment to Co-Operative values and the furthering of the interests of co-operatives.
EDIT: Or on the flip-side, you could hold your account at any of the big banks whose boards and upper management are full of Conservative donors, and contribute to the Tories by proxy through these peoples' bonuses.0 -

I guess my attempt at being witty failed there! Keeping money under my bed doesn't sound attractive whatsoever to me - it was a joke as I think you are being absolutely ridiculous. If you are so against banks, I assume you also refuse to use supermarkets, petrol station chains, Sky/Virgin/other large communication companies etc. etc.?
I know it's rather fashionable to blame banks for "destroying the country" nowadays (though when pushed, the majority of people aren't actually able to come up with any logical or coherent reasons as to why the banks are to blame!) but why single them out? Can I blame the crisis on you because you refuse to lend your savings out to small businesses?0
