We're going to view a property tomorrow that has been on since Xmas. It's on for 220k, which is slightly over our budget. At a push we could stretch to 205-210k. It's a nice area and I can't really see why this house has stuck, as similarly priced properties in the area seem to have sold relatively quickly. The vendor…

The agents can tell you how many offers there have been, but not the amount of the offers.

I would take anything an estate agent says with a pinch of salt. They're not above the odd porky to sell the property, and they actually sound pretty convincing sometimes! See what they say but don't make any decisions based on their say so
