Some advice please...

Hi,
I' have read through different articles on this site and looked at different threads regarding shares, but I am hoping someone could offer me some personal advice/opinions of my situation as I do not feel very confident making decisions yet.
I was given 500 shares in 'BANCO SANTANDER CENTRAL HISPANO' (code BNC) for my 18 birthday. I was going to hold onto the shares for a few years but after a change in circumstances I have decided to sell. I would prefer to sell as soon as possible, but not if I am going to lose out to much.
Could somebody please recommend a good online stock broker? I was thinking about Lloyds TSB bank (if they have an online one) because I have my current and savings account with them. Also, should I wait a few weeks/one or two months before I sell the shares? I am not to sure when the best time to sell would be (I'm not sure if they will grow much anytime soon).
I would really appreciate any help or advice given in general regarding my situation as I am not really sure how to go about these things.
Thank you very much!
