Ford Mondeo 6000CD Radio

Hi all

I've searched Google and can't find the answer to this one.
Does anyone know if the ford 6000CD unit has a built-in multichanger or is it an after-market add-on?

There are several versions of the 6000, Tape, CD, 6 disc CD etc.
And several different styles of those for different models and pre-facelift and facelift cars.

Ford did a boot mounted auto changer for cars not fitted with the multichange head unit. With the right patch leads you can fit units from other manufacturers.

I did consider adding a JVC one. It was a 12 disc. Luckily i checked up 1st. Only half the discs would have worked. Think it only reads 6 discs? Wont read 12 anyway.

I got an MP3 player instead and connected it to the socket in the glovebox. (facelift MK3 Mondeo)

Consider an MP3 player with a radio transmitter etc.

Mine's in a 55-plate Mondeo but I'm not sure if it's the original unit.
