Ok so this is a rumour from other commuters... Apparently first great western will be cancelling all seat reservations during the Olympics  so I pay £4500ish a year and can't sit down for 6-8 weeks (I do reading to London).

I guess I want to know if anyone has heard this and knows any more? Ideally i want to get the quiet trains but equally I'm not up for getting the 6am every day just because FGW won't honour my quarterly reservation this quarter. I have emailed the seat booking line but had no response as Yet (it's been a week!).
