PPI Claim - No details to hand!

Hi all,
I had a loan with Alliance and Leicester back around 2005 and would like to try and claim the PPI from it. I don't have any paperwork and now that Santander have bought over A+L, I am finding it mega hard to make any progress with this.
Does anyone know of, or how to get, a direct number for Alliance and Leicester????

I wrote to Santander with A&L loan details about 6 weeks ago but have heard nothing. How long is the 'usual wait' please?

I'm having exactly the same problem. I first contacted them in December 2011 and am no further forward. Countless letters which I sent to them by recorded delivery which I know they received were completely ignored. When they did write back with a "reference number" I was told that without a proper account number they were going to do nothing. I've asked for return phone calls, letters and a Subject Access Report which they are obliged to give you within 40 days to no avail.
At the moment, referred to the Ombudsman as they are being outright obstructive.
Let me know if you make any headway and any direct contact details for them would be appreciated.

You should have had at the least an acknowledgement of your claim, give them a call and ask if they have received this.
Just seen this! Many thanks, I will do this. Also, should I request an SAR at the same time?
They should listen as I have just saved quite a substantial sum with them!
