Onthebeach additional charges

I've heard that the reason they are so cheap is that they spring extra flight surcharges on you after you book. Is this true and is it true of any others?

This happened to us so we cancelled on the phone there and then (about 15 minutes after booking online)

Luckily the payment hadn't gone through so we were OK.

I don't know if it's still the case though.

They are very good at hiding the extras, but all the prices are there before you book.

I have used them several times with no problems, but I do check everything before clicking to confirm!

They use the budget airlines, so the extra's i've been charged are what Ryanair/Easyjet add on.
I normally use these to gauge the price/flight times/hotels and then book separately.
The flight price is normally fixed, but i manage to save on the hotel and transfer.

I have used onb 3 times and have no complaints. The last time I forgot to add on baggage so I simply added on direct with Ryan air therefore getting no extra charges from otb. You have to check and compare with other agents but I have always found them the cheapest!!

The customer service number is 50ppm but when through they sort out any issues no problem!
