If someone can only get a third for their undergraduate degree, a post grad will probably not be a suitable option.
OP, did you get the third because your dissertation was a resubmission and therefore the grade was capped?
If so, do you have your 'real' grade available? It might help when trying to convince postgrad courses/GTPs etc to take you on, I doubt it would hold much sway with employers though.0 -
How about applying to schools for a job as a cover supervisor / HLTA, decent wage (around 16-18k) still within the school environment and the possibility to go on to a PGCE after a few years based on both your degree and your experience.0

Did you read the thread?
If you have already done a degree and taken out student loans then the answer is no I am afraid.SPC #1813

Check what the entry requirements are for teaching - it might be that a 3rd is acceptable with a masters degree (could be done full-time in one year or part-time to fit around employment over 2 years, so also might be quicker) - and this might be cheaper than a second undergraduate degree. Entry to masters might often depend on undergrad grades, but often this can be compensated with relevant experience.
Alternatively look at the Open University, as the learning can be more flexible and fit around employment.
As far as I am aware there's no funding for a second undergrad, and very little for masters (and what is available tends to be to those with exceptional grades at undergrad).
And I'm afraid that you will not get on a course with a third.
You might have to think about the teaching assistant option and (if things change) you might get a head to back your training towards qualified teacher status.
At the moment though all of this is a long shot.
Sorry, just realised that this is an old thread. There are three types of people in this world. Those who can count and those who can't.0 -

How does this help, clearly not a very nice answer and one that isn't needed! If only they had a degree in manners!!

OP, some second degrees are funded by the NHS, but none that would lead to teaching. Have you looked into a GTP? I can't see any info about minimum requirements so it may vary school by school.

Why are you getting your knickers in a twist about a reply from 6 months ago?SPC #1813

the latter may explain why they didn't notice, since they don't research before rushing in0 -
Or maybe because they also fail to grasp the basic use of a search function for a question that has been done to death.0
