I really must stay off the grabbits sooooo tempted by the plain lazy kids bags, i will resist i'll have to or else it will end up on the creditcard!!!

My mum brought ,me milk so thats me sorted for a few days, i'm going to stock up on the 69p lidl milk on fri and hopefully get enough for next week aswell.

I feel like i've nothing really to update because theres no money things going on here, but i'm still saving money i suppose even if iit's not showing in my bank yet.

Kids had porridge with rasins and some 9p oranges for breakfast, i havent had any yet, i'm waiting for a visitor then i might make something, yesterdays breakfast was nice i could eat that again :) i might just get cornflakes and have toast, egg and sausage for lunch:), i have sausage casarole out of the freezer for dinner.

Will hang some washing out today aswell, yesterdays load took all day to dry and was still slightly damp but it got there in the end, i'll light tthe fire tonight and dry some stuff on the clothes horse aswell.

  • Wait till Friday - it's only two sleeps and take the broken one back to ask (it's worth asking at least, worst case they say no) for an exchange before you even think about spending more on a new one!!!

Edit: Just realised that came across quite harsh... tough love on spending!

    Nearly the weekend :)

It's very very wet here today, i'm off soon to collect a free rug off a facebook page so hopefully that will warm my livingroom up abit, if nothing else it will feel cosy :)

Kids had porridge and tinned oranges for breakfast,l i often wonder when you read about kids that go to school with no breakfast, it can't be a time thing as this was yesterdays porridge warmed up with some boiled kettle water, it can't be cost either, porridge for all 3 prob cost about 5p as i made it with water(only do this when i plan to add stuff) and tinned oranges were 25p, even just toast and a banana takes no time at all and are cheap, anyway ramble done.

My toasters broken aswell, hubby went to make toast last night and informed me it was broken, it's a 4 slice and one side still works so it can do for now.

No change here moneywise nothing spent or saved, hoping to add abit to my savings tomorrow and grab some milk, and possibly some coal, we don't need any but i would like to be prepared and fill the bunker.

Oh and in true mse style the kis picked books from the school book fair but i found them on amazon cheaper :) they both picked the same one so i'll be savings £4.42 :)

Great news about your rugs - how much would you have spent if you had bought one? You should overpay your savings ;)

Also excellent news about the kids books - we found 2 books for £4 the other day and they were £7.99 each on Amazon (which I would not have paid!!) - usually Amazon so much cheaper!

I would overpay my savings but i'm completely skint, and sure i send every spare peny over anyway :p i prob wouldn't have bought rugs are good as this one (it has the price of £499 wrote on the back of it ) but i had been looking at a seller of them on gumtree around the £45 mark, saying that i prob would have just done without :o

Amazon usually are cheaper, it's def worth checking there first, i tried to talk them into a read with biff and chip boxset off the book people (theres a free del code at the mo) because i wnated to buy them them anyway but they were having none of it, they've picked lego city activity books purely because they have lego with them :rotfl:like they don't already have enough.

It's so wet today :( i've bene out 3 times and each time my coat hasn't even been dry yet, and my trainers are leaking :( so i'm so glad to be in now, the fires lit and i've taken my wet jeans off in favor of leggings, and my wet socks are gone and i'm wearing my fur lined cheapo uggs :) (best slippers ever)

Yeah I know what you mean, some things like the free book I just got, I had had it in my basket for Amazon for weeks and would have bought it so overpayed the £8.54, other things I don't overpay because I wouldn't have bought it without the discount or wouldn't have got it only for the fact it was free if you see what I mean?! (like the £2 books..don't feel like I've saved £5.99 because I wouldn't even consider them at £7.99!)

Really miserable here today too, wet cold and damp, just had to have a bath to warm up!

I know what you mean there are something i would never pay full price for books being one of them.

Have abit of spending to do today, need milk, i'll get enough to last til next weekend if the date is good as lidl has 2litres on offer at 69p, then i need a coal shovel :) this will only be £2-£3, then i want to get a few bags of coal to fill the rest of the bunker up, then i'm hoping it will last us til near xmas. We'll see later if theres anything left for the savings....now i wonder where i left the bankcard.

I kept my fire in yesterday with 3/4 of a bucket of coal and one log :) and it was roasting in here come tea time when i put the oven on.

It seems dry today so i'm going to hang some washing out, grab some breakfast and take the child to the libary, will try get into the free carpark to save 30p (thats a litre on milk :p or a bag of sweets after all)
