Hi.
not sure if this is best here or somewhere else but....
one of my colleagues has come here for a year (or maybe two) from america, and rented an unfurnished property.
He has then slowly furnished this including beds chairs cookers etc but clearly doesnt want to take all these back to to america
what is the best way to sell the complete contents .... preferably in one go?
thanks
(ps he is based in essex)

Is there not any house clearance companies around where you live? We have a couple around here, & they literally take everything. Although not sure on what sort of price he would expect & they would offer.
I am in the future you know...

Has he thought about contacting the landlord in case they are interested and turning it into a furnished let for the next tenant?0

I see lots of ads in our local paper where people sell off the contents of their houses when they move away. They seem to do it all weekend, leave a telephone number for details and a list of some of the good stuff as a teaser.
If I had the time, I'd ebay furniture items seperately and make sure that the brand names are mentioned in the header. I sold all of the furniture and appliances from a flat that way.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
