    Morning All

Raining again after quite a nice day yesterday. All washing line dried yesterday but on the airers today! Work was late last night, didn't finish till 11 as we had to wash the vans - didn't know that a housekeeping job involved washing vehicles but we had fun with the jet wash and I get paid for it!

Have made a list of jobs to do, since finishing work on Wednesday for the summer I haven't done anything apart from the bare essentials. Time to get my @rse in gear and get some jobs done. I have already phoned HR dept to go on the re-deployment register and enquire about internal vacancies, as we are off for the summer we don't have access to the internal intranet so have to get them to send me the link.

Off to deliver some jackets that were left here the other night by slightly merry friends, one has given the taxi firm hell cos she thought she had left her coat in the taxi when in fact it was here - it looks like DDs so I didn't look properly till yesterday when I asked DD to tidy her stuff away!

Right, must get on with jobs on list, take care. XX

Bramble - hope your doing ok

Pouring down here :( so much for summer!

In work, we have a big presentation/ceremony this afternoon so no doubt everyone will be running round like headless chickens soon! :rotfl:.

OS wise - house is sparkling, just need to wash dishes. Rubbish put out this morning. dinner will more than likely be something from the freezer.

    Have a good day all

molly the cheapy Delta ones from Aldi which have plenty of space for a rolled up quilt and are really good for the money

Morning all. I have the dentist today, I want to walk but the weather is looking seriously grim and I don't have a good coat here. I will have a quick mooch in the CS shops after for quilt fabric and a free frappuccino from Cafe Nero with my o2 moments :D Me and my sister (is there an acronym for that? hmmm!) have two big bags of parcels to post this afternoon and that's not even everything  Most stuff is in reused and chopped in half postage bags but very well secured. I don't understand why more people don't reuse packaging? Oh well! Have a good day all, the weekend is only four and 3/4 days away!

    Morning all,
Wet again here too,our summers(up here anyway) seem to get worse each year, can't believe its July already and had a couple of weeks worth of sun at best all year :(

I need a good tidy round today.I was out most of the day yesterday so DH seems to have chilled out and left everything he used and not put away.I had a lovely afternoon with 5 old school friends at one of their houses,we never stopped talking for about 6 hours:rotfl:She made a fabulous lunch for us all,and it seemed like we'd only just finished that when she did afternoon tea and cakes,(so my MS-I didnt need any tea:D)DH joined us for the last hour too as he knows everyone-his late sister was in my class and her best friends from then were there,so it was good to chat about her for a bit too.

I've not decided on tea yet, need to look in the freezer, there is plenty in there.Better get on with it.Not sure if DGD is coming tonight or not,she came on Sat for a good few hours, and we got chance to bath her and pop her in her pjs.She has started to walk round furniture in the last week and wants to be on the move all the time :D

Bramble-sorry to hear your news, its a difficult situation. My DS split with his gf a couple of months ago,as she said she no longer felt the same, but she wanted to remain friends. He hadnt seen her much since as he couldnt handle it,though she did send the odd text and call.Anyway they had had tickets for a gig for ages and both wanted to go so they met up for a drink last week to break the ice.He said it was a bit weird but ok,then the concert was this weekend and they both seem to have enjoyed it.They were friends before they became a 'couple' so I think they'd rather still be a part of each others lives.I'm just worried it'll be harder for him to move on but we'll have to see.People find their own ways of coping, and he does seem brighter recently, but I know she felt guilty about breaking up.Hugs to you both.

Off to move stuff around :D

Went to see my mum yesterday. She was a lot brighter than I had expected but obviously in pain. She goes back to the hospital today to see if it needs pinning or she just gets a permanent cast on it.

LW her wheelchair is a lightweight one with big wheels at the back, she can move herself around a little in it but needs my dad to push her most of the time.[/QUOTE]
That's like mine.:o I can't self-propel for any length of time, but it gives me the ability to position the chair better if Mr LW hasn't quite parked it to my satisfaction, and move a little without help. Also, I can stop him trundling me off if I'm not yet ready to move - one time we were at a historical re-enactment event, and I was checking out some of the swords; Mr LW went to move me without checking first, and was surprised when he couldn't - I had my hands on the large wheels, preventing him!:rotfl: I hope your Mum's pain subsides quickly, poor lady.:o

Mr LW got another work call at 03:00 last night:mad: It's times like this we could do with a spare bed, because of course it wakes me up, too, and I find it impossible to get back to sleep. No good me sleeping on the sofa when he's on call, because his computer desk is in the lounge, so he'd disturb me in any case, coming in there to log in to work. Oh well, it can't be helped. He's (hopefully) finishing work at 14:30 today (on early shift and working from home) -we have some errands to do in town; he just has to have the works mobile with him, in case he's needed.:o I'll be glad when it's Friday, and some other [STRIKE]mug[/STRIKE] colleague gets to be on call for a week.:D

  • Hi everyone,

Well despite being busy at work, I am taking my lunch break now so I am very proud of myself! lol I am just going to pop to L!dl for some veg and a look around so that will waste a bit of time!

Then back to work for the afternoon, quick nip in home and then off to WW tonight which I am looking forward too.

DW went on this morning but thats about all I will manage today - washing will be done tomorrow as usual.

I hope you are all well. Bramble - I hope you are feeling ok, its always difficult even if you know its right.

    xxx
  • Afternoon everyone,

Haven't posted for quite a while as been a bit down in the dumps :( but feeling a bit better this morning so thought a nice post might cheer me up!

House is a bit of a tip after bil/sil came to stay for fil 60th party on Sat night. I worked a night shift on fri night so was too tired to do anything yesterday. Went to see some friends and my parents then got a MacD's and came home to veg out in front of the footy. I promptly fell asleep at 9pm ish and slept right through!!! Maybe thats why I feel better today.

OS - today will be tidying, washing with hm washing powder (recipe off here and I'm secretly v.proud of myself and OH for using it!) drying on airers and maybe a vac around as the cats are moulting terribly. Have put my name down for a reconditioned Dys*n as our current hoover isnt shifting the darn cat hairs so it makes a quick job become a very long boring one. I shall also clean the front room carpet with a bissell carpet cleaner that I've borrowed. Have already spent nearly £20 on cleaning solution so wondering if any of you have used vinegar and water and how you found it? Does it clean and also de-dog smell???

Tea tonight is mince beef, onions and mashed tatties, fast becoming a favourite in the JWAH h/hold.

Well better go and do some work or they won't pay me :)

Thoughts & Prayers with you lovely lot!

    Lou x
But I want a golden goose daddy and I want it right NOW!!!!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hugs to all

hilstep - hope you are okay

Waiting for the road to be dug up to replace the sewer. I had thought that it would be bigger, but apparently it is just like for like, so it will still be getting blocked. We will then all get letters about not pouring fat down the sink (which I never do) and ignoring at least six fast food places feeding down to it. Sigh.

Recovering from dentist (sedation) then seeing what I can do to clear out some junk - skip next week, fingers crossed!
