Acer T180 PC & 17" TFT Tesco Offer 1 day only £299.97: Is this a good buy?

The offer seems to be a good one BUT I bought the same machine with a 160gb SATA drive as well as the memory card slots (which I think is standard for these pcs) for a very good price of £249.99 from Tesco, Pool, Redruth a few weeks back and it was complete with the 17" TFT monitor.

Just a case of being in right place at right time I presume! Nowt wrong with Acer as they do sponsor the works bikes of Yamaha (Rossi & Edwards) so they do have worldwide recognition!

yes and they sponsor ferrari - doesn't mean that they are any good, just means they are willing to throw money away to make themselves look good. Something that seems to have worked by people saying 'oh they must be good they sponsor xyz'. I could set up a company and sponsor anyone (providing I have enough capital), doesn't make whatever product I'm producing any good though does it?
